Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference of Undergraduate Scholarship

Welcome!

Thank you for visiting! The presentations for 2020 are no longer available for viewing. Please view the abstract book for information, and come back and see us in 2021! For information about the conference in 2021 when we have it, please visit www.randolphcollege.edu/marcus.

Welcome to the 22nd Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference of Undergraduate Scholarship (MARCUS)! The Conference opens on Friday, the 23rd of October, 2020.  MARCUS is a celebration of student excellence, showing off  research from a diversity of disciplines. We will post oral presentations, narrated posters, and elevator speeches presented by students from around the United States. “Going virtual” allowed participants from California, District of Columbia, Louisiana, Maryland, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia to join us this year.

MARCUS at a glance:

The Conference will  occur virtually and asynchronously. You will be able to access a preview of presentations on this site starting on Friday at 9 am, but we ask that you attend the students’ Q&A interactive session on Saturday the 24th of October, 2020, between 10 am – 2 pm. We hope that you will take some time to “attend” some talks and offer some feedback. Each video will have a space where you can offer feedback or ask questions on Saturday. We ask that presenters monitor their space and answer questions during that time.

Please visit the pages on this site (links are also at the top of this page) to see the Abstract Book (PDF), Conference Schedule and the Special Thanks.

MARCUS was founded and hosted by Sweet Briar College from 1999-2018. Randolph College served as host in 2015, and has hosted since 2019.
